How it works

Four steps. Check before you sip.

  1. Clean, dry nail

    Wash and dry your nail so the sticker holds well.

  2. Stick one on

    Peel one sticker off the sheet and press it on. The maker suggests doing this 2–3 hours before you test.

  3. One drop, wait 1 minute

    Put one drop of your drink on the sticker, then wait 1 minute.

  4. Wipe it off and check

    Half the sticker turned green? Don't drink it.

Read within 5 minutes. New sticker for every drink.

What it can't do

It's a screening aid, not a guarantee. Know its limits before your night out.

  • Screen for other drugs. It checks for GHB only.

  • Catch every amount. It can miss small amounts of GHB: the maker states it reacts above roughly 1–10 mg/mL.

  • Be right every time. It can give false positives.

  • Replace a medical test. It's not a medical device.

  • Watch your drink for you. Keep it in sight and stay with your friends.

Suddenly feel much drunker than you should, dizzy or confused? Tell staff or friends right away. If someone passes out, is hard to wake or is breathing slowly, call 911.

What's in a sheet?

10 single-use nail stickers in yellow. Our photos show hearts; the design on your sheet may vary. One sticker is one test, so a sheet covers 10 drinks.

How long does it take?

About 1 minute per test: one drop on the sticker, wait 1 minute, then wipe it off and check. Read the result within 5 minutes.

For best results, the maker suggests putting the sticker on 2–3 hours before you test.

Does it work in every drink?

We can't promise that, so follow the instructions that come with the stickers. A strongly coloured drink or dim light can make the result harder to read: check in good light, for example with your phone's flashlight.

If you can't tell whether half of it turned green, don't drink it and get a new drink.

Is no change a guarantee?

No. A sticker that stays fully yellow only means it didn't change colour at that moment. It screens for GHB only, can miss small amounts and doesn't test anything added afterwards.
